HAUTAVAINIO
A police lieutenant in the homicide department in the local police force.
In theory, doesn’t like private investigators – but has admitted, that Vares is not the worst of them.
Has locked Vares up more than once, but let him loose every time. A good, no-nonsense honest cop who’s clever enough to accept help when he needs it, even from Vares.
EX-CON ANTIDOTE
An ex-con, who since his last release, at least tries to follow the path of the straight and narrow. Still connected with the underworld and street-wise, he has helped Vares more than once, even once saved his life.
His arms bear a zig-zag tattoo of an asp, and also a fat cat, called “Lieutenant”.
